Quote of the Week: "I wish I could tear your eyes out. You have belittled her with your insecurities, it reeks on your breath. Put on that grin. This is the day that dreams died, as you shattered her soul that lies inside... And I swear, you should die for that. You should pay for that." -from "Visceral" by SkyCameFalling RE: Life in General, and how horrible it can be sometimes

Hey guys. The newest page of Encircle is up. Yes, the foreman thinks our hero is on drugs. Those of you who haven't read the novel version of Encircle the Sun will learn more about that in the future. I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of Painter and how to fuse it with Photoshop. I was really looking forward to this scene. It's one of the first I illustrated a couple of years ago. Sorry I've been playing around with fonts a bit... I'm looking for something clearer and not so evasive... Once I make a final decision, I'm planning to go back and change older pages. As far as next week's updates are concerned, now that I've got a clearer idea of what I'll be doing over the next couple of days, I can say that Encircle ought to update as usual, but the intro to "The Light and the Mirror" will probably be pushed to Wednesday as well, rather than Sunday. I'm not positive, but that's what it's looking like.

Hi, all. The Epilogue to TDO is up, along with a quick summary of what became of some of the characters. And that's that. Next Sunday, I plan to post the Introduction to "The Light and the Mirror", the third book in the series about Diasminion. I had a lot to say about this, but I really haven't got the heart to write anything at the moment. Though I'd planned to do a lot of work on the site over my break from school, a pretty big emergency has come up and I'm not at all sure what I'll be able to do. Real life is going to have to take the front seat for a change. I'm pretty disgusted by humanity at the moment. That's really all I've got to say.
Quote of the Week: "Think straight and fight your emotions, for only the strongest survive. Can't you see what is real?" -from "A Crippled Mind" by Agonoize RE: The Dark Oath (If you own a copy of this song, it's pretty much the perfect soundtrack to this chapter)

Hey guys! Here's your weekly update of Encircle the Sun. Apparently, Harata couldn't keep up the ruse for long. Haven't got much to say otherwise. Have a nice day!

And now... The final chapter of The Dark Oath. There will be an epilogue posted next week to give some insight into what happens to some of the characters, and what lies in store for the future of Diasminion as a whole. I'm a bit surprised that I managed to finish it so quickly, after Encircle the Sun took so long. I enjoyed working on this project... In some ways it was a lot harder than Encircle, for both emotional and logical reasons. But enough of that. On to... Announcements!: First off, I've started working on a new project, and the main page, along with a preview introduction, will go up on Sunday, March 29th. I haven't got a launch date for the story at this time, but it won't be immediate. The new story will take a lot of planning and care, so in order for it to make any kind of sense, I'm being forced to take my time and really think about it. Encircle the Sun will continue to update as usual on Wednesdays, but Sunday updates will be pretty sparse for a while. As soon as I've chosen a launch date, I'll post it here. Second on the list- I'm working on a new site design. There's waayy too much stuff on here for me to keep using the old one, and frankly, I don't like it anyway. I'm hoping to replace the old site (this one) sometime in April. With it, I'm hoping to devote a bit more space to Encircle the Sun's graphic novel, with informational pages about Qian Ra, Diasminion and its Clans, so people will no longer be forced to look such info up on the pages that go with the novel version, which now look pretty appalling. There will also be character pages added. The novels will stay, of course, but Encircle the Sun is going to be completely reformatted. That's all I can think of for now. As things develop, I'll let you know. Have a good one! ^.^

Hiya. Sorry I'm a couple of hours later than usual. I'll not bore you with the details of the mundane stuff that led to it. We've got two new pages of Encircle today. The first is simple, but unique in the fact that it's the only page I've ever created entirely on the computer. I like to sketch on paper for a variety of reasons (and my kitten likes to eat erasers). I'm not all that happy with the second, mostly because I didn't have enough time for adequate cleanup this week and it's still messy in ways I'm hoping to touch up in the next couple of weeks. I've decided that I quite like drawing the Pantagruel- they're so goofy-looking. ^.^ In general, they're a pretty jovial people, and it's a nice break for me from drawing so many serious expressions. In case anyone cares, Harata is taller than average... I had fun playing with the ridiculous difference in size between average people and the Pantagruel. I'm planning on creating a new page about the Clans of Diasminion to go with the graphic novel, but there will be more about that and a slew of other announcements on Sunday, when the final chapter of TDO is posted. Until then, have a good one!

Hey there! Looks like work is gonna continue to be busy until the end of the month. Ah, well. As for TDO- this week we follow Hironah and Uneme as they attempt to sneak through the Imperial Palace. Weirdly enough, I actually found myself drawing a lot from personal experience to make this chapter work (at least, I hope it works). At any rate, here it is! See ya Wednesday!
